91, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Kent County Hospital, Warwick. He was the beloved husband of the late Theresa (Civito) Bianco. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Raffaele and Annantonia (Grasso) Bianco. Ralph was a US Army veteran serving during WW II. He was a Bronze Star and Purple Heart recipient. On July 11, 2014, Ralph was awarded the French Medal of Honor. He was the owner of the former Ralph's Service Inc. on Elmwood Avenue, Providence for thirty-eight years before retiring in 1990. He was a member of the 90th Division Association, "Tough Hombre's". He is survived by his loving children, Theresa DiSano of Cranston, and Ralph Bianco, III and his wife Judy of Cranston. Ralph was the cherished grandfather of Philip DiSano, Jr., Melissa Lynn DiSano, Jason D. Bianco, and the great-grandfather of Benjamin Nolan Bianco, and Bria Claire Bianco. He was the brother of Antonetta Brennan of North Providence, and the late Frank, Costanzo, and Angelo Bianco, Laura Santamossimo, and Mary Vendettoli. Ralph was the father-in-law of the late Philip C. DiSano. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
