95, of North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2014 in Hospice Home at High Point, North Carolina. He was the husband of Anna (Lewis) Bruno. Born in Coventry, RI, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Anna (Tomasso) Bruno. Mr. Bruno was a retired US Army officer, attended the New Bedford Institute of Technology, University of RI and many military schools. Ralph was a veteran of WWII and served in Africa with the Fifth Army in the Italian Campaign. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart, European-African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, the American Defense Service Medal, the WWII Victory Medal, the American Campaign Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son Stephen Bruno and his wife Sandra of Needham, MA and step-son Bill McGirr and his wife Marcine of Kernersville, NC. Ralph was the grandfather of eight and great grandfather of ten. He was the brother of Victoria Zarlenga of West Warwick, Grace Beale of Bloomfield, CT and the late Anthony, John, Domenic, and Arthur Bruno, Celia Polillio, Mary Kingsbury and Carmella Votto.
