93, of Stonington, CT. formerly of Johnston, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2014.
He was the beloved husband of Velia (DiSanto) DelVicario for 68 wonderful years.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Costanzo and Maria (Roberto) DelVicario.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children Sheila (Philip) Grossi of Johnston, Sharyne (Paul) Cerullo of Jupiter FL. and Laurie (John) Garnett of Johnston; a beloved nephew Walter "Gene" DiSanto; grandchildren Sheri Avery, Jessica Cerullo, Tamara MacGregor, Laurie Cerullo-Trainor, Michael and Amy Garnett; great grandchildren William, Zachary, Ethan and Valia; sisters-in law, brothers-in law and many other nephews and nieces.
He was the brother of Carmine "Guido" DelVicario and the late Angelina and Nicola DelVicario, Anna Calitri and Philomena Riccardi.
Ralph completed a woodworking course at the Providence Trade School. He enlisted into the U.S. Army, Engineers and as a carpenter/construction soldier supervised the building and maintaining of Army installations during WW II. Later, as a general contractor, he built homes throughout RI.
Ralph was a retired member of the RI Carpenters Union and a past president of the United Commercial Travelers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Ralph's life on Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Danielson Pike, North Scituate.
