Ralph Merluzzo

96, of Cranston, living most of his life in Johnston, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at home. He was the beloved husband of the late Jennie (Palombo) Merluzzo. Born in Johnston, he was a son of the late Luigi and Amalia (Squizzero) Merluzzo. Ralph was a supervisor in shipping and receiving for the former Almac's Supermarkets. He was also a former farm owner on Atwood Avenue, Johnston for many years. He is survived by his loving daughter , Joan DeLoreto of Cranston. Ralph was the cherished grandfather of Cheryl D'Arezzo, Lori DiNofrio and her husband Armand all of Scituate. He was the brother of Emilio Merluzzo and his wife Margaret of Cranston, and the late Rev. Joseph Merluzzo, Pasco, Thomas, Rocco, William, Luigi, John, George, Frances, and Elizabeth Merluzzo, and Rose Buzziero. Ralph was the brother-in-law of Anthony Ruscetta and his wife Josephine of CA, and also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco's Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will be private. VISITING HOURS Wednesday 5-8 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston.
