76, of Providence, RI, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 30, 2015. He was the beloved husband of 51 years to Marie (Zito) Ricci. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John and Mildred (Sullivan) Ricci. Ralph joined the fire department in October of 1961 and retired as Battalion Chief of the Providence Fire Department. After 33 years of service, he also taught dance at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio for many years where he met his beautiful wife. Ralph had a huge heart, loved his family and friends including his best bud "Pepper" and his grand doggies Knox ,Maggie and Dino; he also had a passion for golf, cooking and dancing.
Besides his wife Marie, Ralph is survived by his three loving children, Thomas Ricci of Providence, John Ricci and his wife Cynthia of Cranston and Lisa Bianchi and her husband Ronald of Johnston. He was the unforgettable "papa" of Gian Bianchi and Breana (Gonga) Bianchi Damiani and her husband David Damiani and their son Dylan; he was also the brother of John Ricci and his wife Terry of Houston Texas and Robert Ricci and his late wife Josephine Ricci of Cranston; he was the cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, Providence. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
