Raymond Grilli, Sr.

87, of Providence, passed away Wednesday May 1, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Agnes A. (O’Donnell) Grilli. Born in Providence he was the son of the late Mario and Helen (Iannozzi) Grilli. He was a proud US Navy veteran. 

He was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church in Providence. He was the Vice President of the Teamsters Local 251 Retirees Chapter. Raymond loved dancing and was an instructor at Arthur Murray’s after his service in the Navy. He loved playing cards, listening to the “rat pack” and most of all, spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his selflessness and generosity to everyone. 

He was the beloved father of Raymond Grilli, Jr., Karen King, Robert Grilli, Gina Costa and Dean Grilli; loving grandfather of six and loving great-grandfather of three. He was the companion of Barbara D’Allesandro and dear brother of Dennis Grilli and the late Mario Grilli.

His funeral will be held on Monday May 6, 2024, at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas Church 65 Fruit Hill Ave. Providence at 10 am. Burial with military honors will follow in Pawtuxet Memorial Park Warwick. Visiting hours are Sunday May 5, 2024, from 4 pm – 7 pm.
