Raymond Joseph Polseno, Sr.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our father, Raymond Joseph Polseno, Sr. On August 4, 2025, the angels called him home to reunite with our mother, brother and his siblings.

He was an extraordinary father, husband, grandfather, brother and friend. He was tough as nails, with a heart of gold. He was a man who devoted his life to fighting and protecting our country.

Raymond was a man of integrity, wisdom, hard work and determination and profound strength. Raymond’s lifelong love of farming showed in the legacy he left behind in his beloved Pippin Orchard, which he built from the ground up before retiring to Largo, FL fourteen years ago.

He was a pillar of the community and was well loved by the customers he encountered.

An honorable U.S. Army veteran, Raymond served his country with pride, embodying the values of duty and service. His military service remained an integral part of his identity throughout his life.

Raymond's greatest pride was undoubtedly his family. He is survived by his daughter, Lori Colucci Polseno and her husband James Bourgeois, who cared for Ray the last six years; his son, Joseph Polseno, and his wife Paula; and his beloved grandsons, Christopher “CJ” Colucci and his fiancé Arianna Rei of Johnston and Joshua Polseno Latille of GA; his siblings, Gloria DelGreco of Scituate, Emily Roy Russo of Smithfield and John Polseno of Scituate; and numerous nieces and nephews. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and values firmly rooted in family.

His legacy and memory will live on forever in our hearts. Until we meet again, Dad, we love you.

Raymond is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rita (Sprague) Polseno; his son, Raymond J. Polseno, Jr.; his parents, Anthony F., Sr. and Emily (Ferrante) Polseno; and his siblings, Daniel Polseno, Michael Polseno, Gertie Jones, Anna Polseno, Anthony Polseno and Frederick Polseno.

His services will be held privately on September 5, 2025.
