Renato Napolitano

79, of Cranston, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 5, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Antonietta (Mancini) Napolitano for 47 years. Born in Pugliano di Teano, Italy, he was a son of the late Vincenzo and Antonietta (Covino) Napolitano.
Renato worked as a machinist for General Electric for 29 years until his retirement in 1998. Prior to that he worked for several years at Electric Boat Company.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Salvatore Napolitano and his wife Angela of Greer, SC, Pasquale Napolitano and his companion Jennifer Cheney and her daughter Sophia Barbon of Cranston, Annamaria Napolitano and her husband Alessandro Brundu of Italy, and Lisa D'Ercole and her husband Paul of Cranston; cherished grandchildren Michael, Thomas, Katherine, Elizabeth Napolitano and their mother Lisa (Jackson) Napolitano, Gianluca and Daniel Brundu; dear siblings Rita Napolitano of Italy, Paride Napolitano of Switzerland, Carmine Napolitano of Italy, and Anthony Napolitano of Providence. He was the brother of the late Antonette Gifford of CT.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Tuesday from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904 and/or St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston, RI 02920.
