Richard E. Crossman

91, of Warwick, formerly of Florida, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017 at South County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, North Kingstown. He was the beloved husband of the late Marjorie (Martin) Crossman. Born in Syracuse, NY he was a son of the late Joseph P. and Alice P. (Thompson) Crossman.

Richard was a US Marine Corps Veteran serving during World War II and the Korean War. After serving his country, he became a Captain for the Providence Fire Department before retiring. He went on to become a member of the Providence Police and Firefighter’s Retirement Association.

Richard is survived by his loving children, Doreen G. Petrella and her husband John of North Kingstown, and Marjorie Mallone of Pinellas Park, FL; five cherished grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; dear brother of Joseph P. Crossman, Jr. of FL, and the late Donald Crossman, Beverly Keenan and Edgar Crossman.

His services are private for family.
