RICHARD E. CROWELL, SR

84, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 8, 2013 at Blueberry Hill Transitional Care, Beverly, MA. He was the beloved husband of the late Dolores M. (Ricci) Crowell. Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late George B. and Mary (Poirier) Crowell. Richard was the owner of United Lock Company in Warwick for many years before his retirement. Richard was an US Army veteran serving during WW II, and later in the US Merchant Marine. He is survived by his loving children, Richard E. Crowell, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Cranston, Cheryl A. Upshall and her partner Tom Maccarone of Cranston, and Paula J. Marrero of Danvers, MA. He was the cherished grandfather of Emily Crowell, Elizabeth Crowell, Evan Upshall, and Julian Marrero. Richard was the brother of the late Princess "Penny" Skidds, Lynn Zenowicz , Edith Rock, Robert and Edward Crowell. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Wednesday 5-8 p.m.
