Richard P. Crudele
84 of Cranston, passed away on April 10, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband, of 61 years, Claudia (Conca). He was a caring and devoted husband and family man, greatly loved by his family and friends. Richard was an avid fan of the Red Sox and The New England Patriots. His favorite pastime was watching the games, with his wife while sipping a cold beer or one of his specialty martinis.
Richard was a lifelong resident of Cranston, where they proudly raised their family together. He was the son of the late Emilio and Cecilia (Montgrain) Crudele.
Richard is a US Navy veteran. He served in the Navy on the USS Saratoga 60, where he had the privilege to meet, speak with, and shake the hand of President Dwight D. Eisehower. Much later, he also was an active member on the USS Restoration Project and Museum Board.
As founder of Crudele Construction Co., fulfilled his passion for construction and home building. He also served as a former Building Inspector for the City of Cranston.
Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children: Ronda Cilento (Joseph Sr.) , Colleen Crudele ( the late Steven Ortoleva), Michele D’Ambruoso(Edward), Andrea Saccoccio (Louis) , Claudia Venditto (Christian) and Carla Woloohojian (Harry) ; his cherished grandchildren: Joseph A. Cilento, Jr , Katie Oduyingbo(Layi) , Rebecca D’Ambruoso, Vincent D’Ambruoso(Andra), Rachel D’Ambruoso, Richard D’Ambruoso, Brian Moriarty, Jr. , Nicholas Saccoccio, Jake Saccoccio, Emma Garcia(Jacob), Victoria Venditto, Grace Venditto, and Harry Woloohojian IV ; his great grandchildren : Tatiana, Carmelo and Giada Oduyingbo, and Ava D’Ambruoso. He was also the brother of the late: John Crudele, Robert Crudele and Majorie Botello.
Relatives and friends are invited attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 10am in Immaculate Conception Church, 237 Garden Hills Drive , Cranston. Burial will be private, and Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted.
