72, of North Truro, MA, formerly of Cranston, passed away suddenly on Friday, January 17, 2014 at North Collier Hospital, Naples, FL. He was the beloved husband of forty-seven years to Theresa M. (Minicucci) Daigle. Born in Hartford, CT he was the son of the late Albert J. and Thelma (Foster) Daigle. Richard was a teacher in the Providence School Department for thirty years, and also taught at Dimon Vocational School in Fall River, MA for twelve years. He was a graduate of Providence College, Class of 1965 and received his Master's Degree from Rhode Island College in 1974. Richard enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, Richard A. Daigle, II of North Smithfield, and Tracy B. Daigle of Port Orange, FL. He was the cherished grandfather of Tyler A. Daigle and Robert M. Schaier, both of Port Orange, FL He was the brother of Dorothy Daigle of Wethersfield, CT and the late Barbara Hill. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in St Rocco's Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
