68 of Southwinds Dr., South Kingstown, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was the beloved husband for 45 years of Rosemarie (Cicatiello) DeJoseph. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Albert and Rosemary (Tata) DiJoseph.

Richard was a 1965 graduate of LaSalle Academy. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Bryant University in 1973. He was an accountant in various capacities, before becoming the business manager for Wayside Landscaping, a business operated by his two sons. As the son of a cabinet maker, Richard inherited his father's talents, which he used throughout his life. He was known for his handiwork and attention to detail. He greatly enjoyed working on projects with his sons.

Besides his wife Rosemarie, Richard was the devoted father of Dana DeJoseph Palmisciano and her husband Jim of Richmond, Chris DeJoseph and his wife Kim of Coventry and Jason DeJoseph and his wife Melissa of West Warwick. He was the cherished grandfather of Tyler and Emma DeJoseph, Molly and Owen Palmisciano and Alexandra DeJoseph; dear son-in-law of Rose Shore; brother-in-law of JoAnn Cicatiello, Mary Howman and Tom Cicatiello; and loving uncle of his niece and three nephews.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory - SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Rd. (Rt. 1A), Narragansett on Tuesday, June 2nd at 8:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 128 High St., Wakefield at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Wakefield. VISITING HOURS are Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
