80, of Cranston, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Cipriano) Guerra. They were married for the past 58 years. Richard was born in Providence, a son of the late Joao and Maria (Bernardo) Guerra.
Mr. Guerra was the former owner of RAM polishing in Pawtucket and was later employed at First Student Bus Company until his retirement. His favorite pastime was sailing and was also a US Navy veteran.
Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by his loving children, Joyce McLarey and her husband James of Cranston, Richard S. "Ricky" Guerra and his wife Cynthia of Cranston, Marie DeQuattro and her husband Albert of Cranston; his cherished grandchildren, Shannon, Stephanie, Stephen and his great granddaughter Alexia. Richard was also the brother of John Guerra of MA and the late Irene Duruda. He also leaves behind his loyal dog Chico.
His funeral will be held on Friday at 10 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in Immaculate Conception Church, Garden Hills Dr., Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Friday morning 9-10 am.
