Richard P. Leone Sr.

89, of West Warwick, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Nicholas Leone Sr. and Celia (Ferrante) Leone.

He is survived by his loving children, Leslie A. Ganac and her husband Kevin, Richard P. Leone Jr. and his wife Chanthy, and Carolyn A. Leone. He was the brother of the late Marie Clavin, Louise Uciferro, and Nicholas Leone Jr.

Richard was an owner of a 3rd generation family business, Nick’s Auto Body & Towing in Providence. He was a lifetime Providence Rotarian. His love of the water led to him enjoying family time on ten “At Last” boats during his lifetime. When you did not see him at the shop, he was immersed in golfing, skiing, bowling and running. Later in life, he discovered the joy of adopting and caring for his rescue cats. He looked forward to the holidays to spend time with family and traditional Italian meals.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, November 6th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Johnston Pawswatch Community Cat Center, PO Box 7005, Warwick, RI 02887. (pawswatch.org/donate)
