Richard F. Lyons

of East Providence, passed away on March 30, 2017 at Rhode Island Hospital.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Richard and Dorothy Lyons.  Richard was brother to John F. Lyons of Hudson, Florida, the late Robert E. Lyons, Eileen L. Langlais of Warwick, and James W. Lyons of Providence.  He was father to Linda J. Williams of Denton, Texas, Richard J. Lyons of Exeter, Kevin M. Lyons of Providence, Michael Lyons of Florida, the late John Lyons of Johnston, Dina Cappalli of North Providence, Todd Lyons of Hope, and Troy Lyons of Seekonk.  Richard had fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Richard worked for Fains as a carpet installer for twenty five years.  He was also a Providence firefighter from 1970 to 1983.

His Memorial Mass will take place at St. Mary’s Church in Cranston on Thursday, April 6 at 10 a.m.  Burial will be held privately.
