78, of Smithfield, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Miriam Hospital in Providence. Born in Chester, PA, he was the beloved son of the late Helen Pietryski.
Richard was an accountant in the insurance industry for many years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Portuguese American Social & Athletic Club in Smithfield.
He was the devoted father of Richard Pietryski of Scituate, Susan White of Woonsocket, Daniel Pietryski of North Scituate and Donna Pagliaro of Cranston; loving grandfather of Kayla, Tyler, Sabrina, Cassandra, Alexis and Daniel; and loving great-grandfather of Tristan.
Relatives and friends may gather at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter on Wednesday, May 6th at 10:45 a.m. to follow in procession at 11 a.m. for committal prayers and military honors.
Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
