Richard R. Rainone

68, of Delray Beach, FL, formerly of Johnston, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Marie A. (Paliotta) Rainone. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph and Louise (Scorpio) Rainone. Richard was a systems analyst for the Providence Gas Company before his retirement. He was a USMC veteran serving during the Vietnam War and a recipient of three purple hearts. Richard enjoyed boating, fishing, meeting with friends for early morning breakfast and especially watching his grandsons play hockey. Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, Jo-Anne M. Rainone of Cranston, and Richard R. Rainone and his wife Keri of Parkland, FL. Richard was the cherished grandfather of Bennett and David Rainone. He was the brother of Joseph Rainone, Jr. and his wife Eileen of North Kingstown. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Liturgy outside Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Inurnment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
