Richard J. Santurri

passed away on December 7, 2017.  He was the loving husband of Marlene (French) Santurri of Warwick for the last 55 years.  He was the son of the late Mariano and Giselda (Boezi) Santurri of Cranston.

Richard loved traveling, reading, gardening and especially cherished the many family gatherings enjoying good food while joking with his grandchildren and exchanging stories about history, politics and reminiscing about all the good times.

Richard was a lifelong member of the Cranston (1738) and Warwick (2295) K of C Councils and PFN of the Fourth Degree Father Wallace Assembly in Warwick (1055).  He proudly served six years in the Marine Corps Reserves.

He was the owner of Consolidated Home Improvement until his retirement and still enjoyed building and repairing things.

He is preceded in death by five brothers, Giulio, Americo, Dominic, Angelo and Eugene and three sisters Mary Tartaglia, Philomena Russo, Ida Colicci whom he missed daily.

Besides his wife he leaves three devoted sons, Richard Jr., John and Joseph; a loving daughter Christine and husband Curtis Pollard; his adored grandchildren Heather and husband Michael Russo, Justine and Jonathan Pollard, whom he loved and lived for.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Peter’s Church, Fair St., Warwick.  Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are Tuesday morning from 9 - 10 a.m.
