Richard M. Tavone

78, of Cranston passed away on August 25, 2022.  He was the husband of the late Jean M. (Caduto) Tavone.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Matteo and Assunta (Ursillo) Tavone.

Mr. Tavone received a bachelor degree from Bryant University and his master’s degree from the University of Connecticut.  He worked for the State of Rhode Island, Department of Children and Families for twenty-five years.  He later worked as a speech writer and consultant.

A lifelong golfer and certified golf professional, he enjoyed instructing and was a member of the Pleasant Valley Country Club in Sutton, MA and Valley Country Club in Warwick.

He leaves his three sons, Richard J. Tavone, Robert L. Tavone and Jeffrey M. Tavone all of Cranston; a sister Maryann Tavone Capaldi of Providence; a niece, Susan Pepe of North Providence and nephew, Nicholas Capaldi of CT.

His funeral and burial in Highland Memorial Park in Johnston will be private.
