Richard G. 'Ricky' Young, Jr.

48, of Johnston, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017.  He was the beloved husband of Vanessa (Antonelli) Young.  Born in Cranston, he was the son of Richard Sr. and Catherine (Warburton) Young.

Ricky worked for Morgan and Sons Masonry for many years and he was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craft workers. Ricky was a loving husband and father of 3 kids.  He was a member of the USA Roller Sports and was a national champion roller skater.  He was a mentor to the skating community, a decorated skater whose talent was one of a kind.  His friends will host a "final skate" in his honor this Saturday at Forrest's Family Fun Center in Taunton, MA.  He could always be found with his family doing what he loved best.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Raymond Young, Naesa Young and Jordan Antonelli all of Johnston; siblings Kim Paul Young of Maine, Christopher Young of Coventry, and Tracy Young Cappelli of Coventry.

VISITING HOURS in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston will be on Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. followed by a service at 8:00 p.m.  Burial will be private.
