Rita V. (Gilbert) Duclos

88, of Cranston, passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016, at Briarcliffe Manor Nursing Home, Johnston. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Duclos. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Mahoney) Gilbert. Rita is survived by her loving children, Paul Duclos of Cranston, Barbara Blanchard of Scituate, Diane Whitehead and her husband David of Attleboro and Kathleen Duclos of Cranston; mother-in-law of the late Robert Blanchard. She was the cherished grandmother of Michael Blanchard, Julie Maccarone, Kristine Whitehead, Casey Whitehead, Patrick Duclos, Pamela Duclos and Laura Duclos; great-grandmother of Nathan Whitehead, Samuel Blanchard, Emma Maccarone, Ethan Maccarone, Johnpaul Campanaia and Isla Whitehead; sister of the late Joseph Gilbert, John Gilbert and Florence Gilbert. Her funeral will be held on Friday, at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco Church, Johnston. Burial will take place in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. VISITING HOURS: Thursday from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
