Rita M. (Riendeau) Vanhouwe

94, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 29, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late George F. Vanhouwe. Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Yvonne (Vincent) Riendeau.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Diane Cardi and her husband Michael of Wakefield, and was pre-deceased by her children Lorraine Vanhouwe and Dennis Vanhouwe. She was the cherished grandmother of Nicole Tiberi and her husband Richard, Danielle Tomaselli and her husband Derek, the late Lisa Vanhouwe and the great-grandmother of Noah Tomaselli and Jordan Tiberi. Rita was the sister of the late Florence Bernier and Roland Riendeau.

Her funeral service and burial will be private.
