Robert L. Guarniero, 59, of Warwick son of the late Ralph and Norma (Spizzirri) passed away on July 29, 2025. He was also predeceased by his brother-in-law John (Jack) Gionis.

Robert is survived by his ever-present (ex) wife Lori Guarniero(Richard) and his beloved children Robert Guarniero, Jr and Julia Guarniero. He also leaves siblings: Verna Gionis, Denise Nadeau, Ralph Guarniero, Jr., and his wife Christine (Patalano), Ann Keszyinki and her husband Raymond, Norma Lumpkin and her husband David. His nieces, nephews grandchildren will always have him in their hearts.

A proud graduate of Classical High School, Class of 1983, Robert chose to serve his country by joining the United States Navy. He served until he was honorably discharged in 1989. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Rhode Island College, all while working for Astra Pharmaceuticals. In 1993, he joined the Providence Police Department until he found his true calling working at the VA Hospital where he remained until retirement. Robert had a great sense of humor and could always bring a smile to your face. He was the first to offer help, always eager to share his knowledge and support those around him. Above all, he deeply loved his family and will be remembered for his generous spirit and kind heart.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday August 5, 2025, at 10:30 am at the Nardolillo Funeral Home and Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. Burial with full military honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery. Visiting hours are just prior to the service from 9:00 -10:30 am. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory can be made to Operator Stand Down, 1010 Hartford Ave., UNIT 1, Johnston, RI 02919.
