Robert I. Jenckes

80, of Kingston, died on May 22nd 2018 peacefully at his home. He was the beloved and cherished husband of Caroline (Huston) Jenckes. They enjoyed 27 years of marriage. Bob was also the husband of the late Lois (Anderson) Jenckes. Born in Pawtucket he was the son of the late Irving and Winifred (Hoard) Jenckes. Mr. Jenckes was a trusted, hard-working individual who provided service to the transportation industry over the last 50 years. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy.

Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children Kristen E. Monforton of MT, Stephen T. Jenckes of Exeter, Noah H. Jenckes of Kingston and Meredith E. Jenckes of Kingston. He was also the cherished grandfather of Cristopher J. Tabulina of Coventry (and his wife Kristen), and Jack H. Jenckes of Exeter; great grandfather of Cristopher L. Tabulina, Kristyana J. Tabulina and Cristian A. Tabulina and dear brother of Mary A. Jenckes of Warwick and Roberta N. Jenckes of CT. He was also the brother of the late Grace E. Jenckes.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service with military honors to be held on Friday June 1st at 11 am in St. Luke’s Church on Peirce St. in East Greenwich. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday May 31st from 4- 8 pm in the Nardolillo Funeral Home SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL 1111 Boston Neck Rd., Narragansett. The family will kindly be accepting flowers.
