Robert G. 'Bob' Jones

78, of Cranston, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of twenty-nine years to Sheila A.(Dinucci) Pelosi Jones. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Henry G. and Elizabeth (Miller) Jones.

Bob was an environmental consultant for hazardous waste removal for fifteen years. He was also the former co-owner of Sir Chadwick's Antiques and Consignments in Coventry and former owner of two liquor stores. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Commandry, and the Rhode Island Shriners. He played bass drum in the Shriner's Band. Bob was a former member of the Edgewood Yacht Club. He was a former member of the Cranston Choral Company, and the Cumberland Lincoln Chorus. Bob was an avid golfer and a crew member on many yachts.

He enjoyed fresh water fishing, cruising the world, and was a collector of Connecticut hand carved wooden clocks. Bob was a real history buff, particularly WW II. He was always a person who was available and willing to assist anyone in need. Bob was an "in charge" man who orchestrated and navigated many projects throughout his life. Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, Robert "Rob" Jones and his wife Nancy of North Kingstown, Howard "Howie" Jones and his wife Courtney of Narragansett, Joseph "Joey" Pelosi and his wife Donna of Narragansett, Dr. David Pelosi of Tampa, FL, Stephen Pelosi of Warwick, Dr. Michele Pelosi of Cranston, and Matthew "Matt" Pelosi and his wife Wendi of Coventry. He was the cherished grandfather of sixteen and the great-grandfather of two. His funeral service will be held on Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be private.
