Robert P. 'Bob' Moretti
70, of Cranston and Boynton Beach, FL, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Carol (Matrullo) Moretti for 34 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Pasquale and Jennie Moretti.
Prior to retiring Bob worked for IBM, he was the former City Clerk for the City of Cranston and the Administrator of the Health and Safety Fund for LIUNA. He was a former R.I. State Senator in Cranston for District 12. He was a former member of the Alpine Country Club where he served on the Board of Directors. He was also a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Robert M. Moretti and his wife Brenda of Dublin, CA, Lisa A. Cipolla and John Coletti of Cranston, and his cherished granddaughter Gabrielle Moretti. He was the brother of the late Ronald Moretti.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Tuesday at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Monday from 4 - 8 p.m.
