Robert E. Daly, 'Papa'

84, devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, went to heaven on April 6, 2015. Born in Providence RI, he was the son of the late James Daly and Emma (DiLorenzo) DeMarco. He was the loving husband of Carolyn J. (Zabatta) Daly for 60 years. Admired by all, he leaves a rich legacy of love and kindness. What meant most to him was spending time with his family, especially Sunday dinners and the annual Goddard Park outings.
He was a 35 year goodwill ambassador at Action Auto Parts and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Robert W. Daly and his wife Joy of North Kingstown, and Donna M. Travaglini and her husband Paul of East Boston, MA; cherished grandchildren Alaina Travaglini Coppola and her husband Robert, Paul Travaglini and his fiancAC.e Kayla Barressi, Dacia Rose Daly, Alyssa Carolyn Daly, Kayla Rae Daly, and Robert Anthony Daly. He was the brother of the late James Daly and William Daly. He is also survived by his brother-in-laws Joseph Ricci, Frank Zabatta and the late Raymond Ruscito; sister-in-laws Patricia Ricci, Rebecca Ruscito, and Elizabeth Zabatta along with many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Monday at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will take place in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. VISITING HOURS will be Sunday from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 1 Capitol Hill, Providence, RI 02908.
