Robert M. Parrillo Lt.,CFD,Ret.

82, of Cranston and Narragansett passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016, peacefully at home. A devoted, caring husband of Elizabeth “Betty Ann” (Goselin) for 57 years. Beloved father of Nancy E. Parrillo of Cranston and Narragansett and the late Patricia Parrillo Hixson. He was the son of the late Susan (Church) and Rocco Parrillo. He is also survived by his brother Gilbert Parrillo, nephew Steven Parrillo and niece Tammy Faioli and cousins.

Bob was a graduate of Cranston High School (1952) and served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Korean War. He served on the Cranston Fire Department for 35 years, retiring as a lieutenant. Bob worked earnestly in many fields. He was the proud owner of his own remodeling business and served as a manager for the Bonnet Shores Beach Club from 1961-1984. Bob was a member of the Kelly-Gazzero VFW Post 2812. He was a devoted Catholic serving the Christ the King community in many ministries including chairing the Catholic Charity Drive for 9 years, the Stephen Ministry, and as a Eucharistic minister.

His funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory-SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Rd. (Rt.1A) Narragansett, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Road, Kingston. Burial will take place in St. Francis Cemetery, 114 High Street, Wakefield. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parrillo Family Scholarship Fund, Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Road, Kingston, RI 02881.
