Robert E. Patenaude

Robert E. Patenaude, 68, of Stratham, NH passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 17, 2023 at Exeter Hospital in Exeter, NH. He was the beloved husband for 44 years of Joanne (Procaccini) Patenaude. Born in Providence, he was the devoted son of the late Wilfred and Jennie (Cipolloso) Patnaude. Robert was the President/Owner of Powell Insurance Agency located in Frederick, Maryland.

He was raised and educated in Warwick, RI. He and Joanne relocated to Frederick, MD in 1980 to build their lives and careers. They retired in 2018 and moved the NH Seacoast in August 2021.

He was the beloved Godfather of Andrew Cappalli Degen, and Sharon (Beaulieu) Fadika and the cherished Uncle of Paul, Keri, and Burke Degen; Cara Cappalli-Davey and Rob Davey.

Bob was active in Golden Retriever Rescue organizations in Maryland and Pennsylvania. As a volunteer he assisted with transportation, adoption and fostering. Bob and Joanne together raised five beautiful golden retrievers; Zack, Koda Bear, Josh, Milo and Jack. He loved to travel and be near the ocean.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, February 25th at 10 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston at 11 a.m. Burial at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston will take place at a later date. VISITING HOURS are SATURDAY MORNING from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
