Robert A. Scungio
63, of West Warwick, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Marie (Appollonio) Scungio. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Michael A. and Elizabeth (Pezzullo) Scungio.
Robert was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in West Warwick. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus-Mary Doran Council. He was the former owner of Pruefer Metal Works and had 13 years of service in the Air National Guard.
He is survived by his loving children, Michelle Torti and her husband Michael of Warwick, Robert Scungio and his partner David Harkins of Cranston, his cherished grandson Michael Torti Jr. of Warwick, and his mother-in-law Mary Appollonio of Warwick. He was the brother of the late Michael, Raymond, Frederick, and David Scungio.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Monday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, West Warwick. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Sunday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the R.I. Community Food Bank, 200 Niantic Avenue, Providence, RI 02907.
