80, of Warwick, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara A. (Vittorio) Sullivan. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late John A. Sullivan and Mary (Kelleher) Sullivan.
He was a graduate of Saint Mary School and Pawtucket Vocational High School. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was stationed at Loring Air Force Base in Caribou, Maine. After his military service, Robert was employed as a sales representative for New England Electric Machine, General Electric Supply, Major Electric Supply, retiring in 2003.
He served on the Board of Trustees of Electrical League of Rhode Island, and was a member of Warwick Elks Association and the American Association of Plant Engineers. He was a communicate of Saint Peter Church, Saint Francis Chapel and Immaculate Conception Church.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children Lori A. Sullivan of Warwick, Sharon A. Sullivan of West Warwick, Robert J. Sullivan, Jr., and his fiancAC. Lynda Self of Irmo, South Carolina, and a granddaughter, Brittany N. Sullivan of Irmo, South Carolina. He is also survived by two brother-in-laws, two sister-in-laws, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was the brother of the late John F. Sullivan.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception, Cranston. Entombment will take place in Our Risen Christ Garden, Mausoleum, at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
