Rocco L'Europa
93, of Johnston, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2014 peacefully at home. He was the beloved husband of Josephine C. (Preite) L'Europa for 68 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Vincent and Maria (Uriati) L'Europa.
Rocco was a cabinet maker for Modern Store Fixtures and Monarch Industries for 50 years until his retirement. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was also a member of the VFW and Local 94.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Steven L'Europa and his wife Cheryl of Madison, New Hampshire, Dr. Ronald L'Europa and his wife Sue of Little Compton, RI, and Dr. Gary L'Europa and his fiancAC.e Dr. Ellen Hight of Barrington; cherished grandchildren Chris L'Europa, Julie Dick, Ashley L'Europa, Talia L'Europa, Brandon L'Europa, and his great-grandchildren, Samantha, Brennan, and Joshua; dear siblings Gerry L'Europa of Providence, Anthony L'Europa of Johnston, and Lucy Robittaile of Glocester. He was also the brother of the late Loreto L'Europa.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 18 King Philip St., Providence. Burial with Military Honors will take place in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. VISITING HOURS will be Friday from 5 - 8 p.m.
