Rodolfo "Rudy" Tuirok

78, of Cranston and Balibago, Angeles City Philippines, passed away on August 29, 2017. Rudy resided in Cranston for the past 57 years before moving back to the Philippines on August 20, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Lanie Tuirok and the late Shirley M. (Hardy) Tuirok. Born in Kawit, Cavite Philippines he was the son of the late Daniel A. Tuirok and the late Ester B. Tuirok.

Rudy enlisted in the US Navy at the age of 18. He served during the Vietnam War. During his time in the Navy he also served aboard The USS Lester and The USS Hazelwood. He also worked for the VA Hospital in Providence for over 15 years. Rudy was also a diehard Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.  Rudy was a caring and generous person who loved spending time with his family and would do anything for anybody, lending a helping hand to anyone who needed one. He was loved an adored by his family and admired and respected by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving children James R. Tuirok and his wife Deb of South Attleboro , MA; Lisa E. Rowe and her husband Buzzy of Johnston; Ester Bernardo Tuirok of Cranston; Daniel E. Tuirok and his wife Dee of North Scituate; his dear siblings Estela Manubay of Philippines, Elisa Tiquia of the Philippines . He was also the cherished Papa of 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews. Rudy was also the loving father of the late Melanie R. Barbosa and brother of the late Ernesto Tuirok.

A Funeral will be held in the Philippines followed by a burial with military honors in Clark Veterans Cemetery.

A Memorial Mass in his honor will be held on Saturday September 16, 2017 at 11 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston.
