Romeo Moretti

MORETTI, ROMEO, 84, of Cranston, RI, passed away on Sunday March 19, 2023, at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center surrounded by his loving family.

He was the beloved husband of Janice (Solomon) Moretti.

Born in Monticelli, Italy he was the son of the late Emilio and Maria (Moretti) Moretti. Romeo received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Providence College, he began his career at The Berlitz School of Languages and was an Interpreter and Professor of Languages for many years before retiring.

He was the devoted father of Anthony Moretti and his wife, Tina, of Summit, NJ and Gina Carney and her husband, Andy, of Ladera Ranch, CA; loving grandfather of Drew, Luca, Emilia, Valentina and Carmen. He was the dear brother of Rose D’Arezzo and her husband, Marco, of Cranston and the late Jenny Papa. He was also survived by several dear nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by his Funeral Service in St. George Maronite Catholic Church 1493 Cranston St. Cranston at 10 am. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

Visiting hours are Friday March 24, 2023, from 4 pm to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 245 Waterman Street # 306 Providence, RI 02906 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
