78, of Johnston, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. He was the beloved husband of the late Mable (French) Dionisi and the devoted companion of Ann Marie Bradley. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Harry and Angelica Dionisi.
A proud graduate of LaSalle Academy, Class of 1966, Ronald served his country with distinction as a U.S. Army veteran and medic during the Vietnam War. Wounded in the line of duty, he was awarded the Purple Heart in recognition of his sacrifice and service. Following his military service, Ronald worked as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. He later became a landscaper, bringing care and beauty to the properties of many neighbors in his community for many years. An outdoorsman at heart, he found joy in hiking, his daily walks and fitness routine, and the simple pleasure of feeding the birds. He also enjoyed the companionship of friends through games of darts and chess, as well as the lighthearted laughter of comedy television. Those who knew him will remember him as a kind and gentle person, always thoughtful and gracious to all.
Ronald is survived by his devoted children, son Ronald Dionisi Jr. and daughter Angela Dionisi; his two grandchildren; and his four great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were touched by his kindness.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 22, from 8:00-9:00 a.m. followed by his Funeral Home Service at 9:00 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Burial with military honors will be held in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
