Ronald L. Sunderland

82, of Johnston, passed away on Monday October 5, 2015 at the Miriam Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Celeste (Montecalvo) Sunderland. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Charles and Natalie (Howland) Sunderland. Ronald was employed by Fram Corporation as the Director of Manufacturing Engineering until his retirement. Upon retiring from Fram, he established RLS Associates as a consultant representing Manufacturing Machine Corporation for the past 25 years. He was also a US Army veteran.
Besides his wife he was the devoted father of William V. Sunderland and Stacey A. Sunderland and father in-law of Pam Sunderland and dear brother of Barbara Cole and the late Gloria Marshall. He also was the brother-in-law of Elizabeth Montecalvo.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Johnston, followed by Burial in Highland Memorial Park in Johnston. Visiting hours are Friday from 5 p.m. to 8p.m. at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston.
