Rosalie Ann Ruggieri

78, of Cranston, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Miriam Hospital in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Gerard P. Ruggieri Jr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Albert Saccoccio Sr. and Mary (Soscia) Saccoccio. She was also the sister of the late Albert Saccoccio Jr.

Rosalie was actively a data clerk with the Cranston Adult Education Program for the Cranston Public School Department for 5 years. Mrs. Ruggieri was the director of the Board of Canvassers for the City of Cranston for over 20 years until her retirement, and she was also a Domestic Violence Liaison for Providence Family Court for 9 years until her retirement. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Cranston and a member of the Regina Coeli Society.

Rosalie is survived by her two loving daughters Maria Carpentier of Cranston and Diana Tavares and her husband Nicholas of Cranston. She was the cherished grandmother of Cristina and John Carpentier and Emma and Isabella Tavares.

Her funeral will be held on Monday at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Sunday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Kindly omit flowers.
