Rose V. (Patierno) Mignanelli

89, of Johnston, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Aldo J. Mignanelli. Born in Passaic, NJ she was a daughter of the late Michael and Michaelina (Contillo) Patierno. Rose was the Town Controller for the town of Johnston. She was an avid bowler and doll collector. She also donated her time to making infant hats for Women and Infants Hospital and St. Rocco Church for many years.

She is survived by her loving children, Lori L. Mignanelli and her partner Billy Heelon of Johnston, Jayne M. Izzi and her husband Michael, of Johnston, and John A. Mignanelli and his wife Maria of Cranston. Rose was the cherished grandmother of Colby Ross, Lana Messina, Arianna Mignanelli, and the late Paul Messina and the great-grandmother of Gabriel Ross. She was the sister of Irene Catanzaro, Mary Trentacosta, and Thomas Patierno and his wife Maria, all of New Jersey, and the late Lucy Mohanche, Frank Paterno, and Anna Svolto.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Danielson Pike and Corner Rte. 116, North Scituate. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Monday morning 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
