94, formerly of Providence, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Kent Regency Nursing Home, Warwick. She was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas Romano. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Gustina (Baldi) Cipriano. She was the general manager of E.G. Spooner Company for many years. Rose was also the owner and operator of Uncle Nick's Ice Cream for ten years. Rose was a communicant of St. Bartholomew's Church and was an honorary member of the Local 104 I.B.E.W. of Dedham, MA. She enjoyed gardening, baking cookies, and was best known for her endless generosity to her family and friends.

She is survived by one sister Antonetta Rossi and was the sister of the late Anna Stabile, Josephine Amara, Pia Lanzi, Gaetano, William, Henry, and Bartholomew Cipriano. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, especially Teresa Sousa, who loved and cared for her all of her life.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bartholomew's Church, 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Sunday 4-8 p.m. Memorial contributions in Rose's memory may be made to Kent Regency Activities Fund, 660 Commonwealth Avenue, Warwick, RI 02886.
