Rose L. (Ianniello) Santangelo

83, of Johnston, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Cortland Place Nursing Home in Greenville.  She was the wife of the late Agostino "Gus" Santangelo. She was Born in Providence and grew-up on Federal Hill. She was the daughter of the late Ralph, Sr. and Theresa (Andreozzi) Ianniello.

She was the loving mother of Robert G. Santangelo of Federal Hill, Providence, Anthony Santangelo & wife Jill of North Smithfield, John Santangelo of Lighthouse Point, FL, Rhonda Sasa & husband Sam of Johnston; cherished grandchildren Robert Santangelo, Talia Santangelo, Anthony Santangelo, Steven Fisher, Pharis Sasa, Naja Sasa; dear siblings Joseph “Sonny” Ianniello of North Providence, Ralph “Sabu” Ianniello of Warwick, Lucille Ianniello of Johnston and Robert Ianniello of Johnston.

Rose also known as Nana Rosie was a very loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend. She was a dedicated homemaker who loved to make her famous meatballs for Sunday dinners and she loved to clean her house. She always put everyone's needs above her own. She adored her grandchildren and took great pride in their accomplishments. She will be forever loved and greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known her.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Friday at 9:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston.  Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are Thursday 6 – 9 p.m.
