Rosemarie (Rossi) Lanzi

85, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 23, 2018. Rosemarie was the beloved wife to the late Sgt. Thomas Lanzi CPD. Born in Roslindale, MA, she was a daughter of the late Leopoldo Rossi, Sr. and Josephine (Dirienzo) Rossi. Rosemarie was an office secretary and clerical worker for many years. She was also a former secretary for the IBPO police union office. She was an avid bingo player at the St. Mary’s Feast Society and she enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading the daily newspaper. Rosemarie was politically active in the democratic party and especially loved helping her daughter, former state senator and representative Bea, on all her political campaigns for twenty years. She coordinated the volunteers and campaign ­­­­activities.

Rosemarie is survived by her loving daughter, Honorary Bea Lanzi of Cranston. She was also the cherished grandmother of Sofia Lanzi. Rosemarie was the sister of the late Leopoldo Rossi, Jr., Angelo Rossi and Beatrice Rossi.

Her visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 28th, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Funeral Home Service at 7:00 p.m. Burial is private.
