Rosemarie E. (Gladue) Ruel

78, of Johnston, passed away on Saturday December 20, 2025 at Cra-Mar Meadows Cranston surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Ruel.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Rose (Hallern) Gladue.

Prior to working at the Blood Bank, her and her former husband, Vincent Durante, were the owners of Ocean State Tire.  Rosemarie worked for the RI Blood Bank in the customer service department for the past 15 years. 

She was the devoted mother of Vincent Durante, Sr. and his wife Gina and Michael Durante and his wife Julie; stepmother of Monique Ruel and Timothy Ruel and his wife Cheryl; loving grandmother of Vincent Durante, Jr. and his wife Alli, John Durante and his wife Amelia, Anthony Durante, Scott Ruel, Matthew Collins, and the late Paul Messer; loving great-grandmother of Jourdyn, Stephanie, Johnny, Samantha, Logan, Sally Lincoln, and Peyton. She was the dear sister of Barbara D’Arezzo and her husband John. Ann Morin and her husband Albert, Lenny Gladue and his former wife Virginia and the late Frederick Gladue and his wife Sue. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday January 3, 2026 at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church 1525 Cranston St. Cranston at 10 am. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

Visiting hours are Saturday morning January 3, 2025 from 8 am-9am.
