RUTH N. (GARNICA) ANLEU

73, of Johnston, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2010 at Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of Edgar R. Anleu. They were married for forty-two years. Born in Union, Zacapa, Guatemala, she was a daughter of the late Carlos and Bertha (Duque) Garnica. Mrs. Anleu was a paralegal for the court system in the Guatemalan Government for thirty-two years before retiring in 1991. She enjoyed gardening, knitting and traveling.

Besides her husband she is survived by her loving children, Edgar S. Anleu, Karla V. Machado and her husband Elvis, all of Johnston. Ruth was the cherished sister of Saul Garnica of Providence, Mario Garnica of Gualemala City, Thelma Quiroa and Marco Tulio Garnica, both of Guatemala and the late Carlos, Samuel and Roberto Garnica.
