SALVATORE 'SAL' BOX

of Narragansett, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Sal was the beloved husband of Carolyn (Bedetta) Box for 45 years. They would have celebrated 46 years on November 4th. Besides his wife, he was the devoted father to his two children; Karissa (Box) Wallin and her husband Erik and Christopher Box and his wife Heather. Sal was the loving PaPa to his grandchildren Sam, Brad, Devin, Sophia and David. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Theresa (Montaquila) Box. He was the brother of seven sisters; Irene Ruscito, Sylvia Cambio and the late Connie DiVona, Louise Beretto, Anna DiCarlo, Helen Pono and Bernice Corsi. Sal worked his early years in real estate, construction and appraisal, having his own business for 30 years. He worked his last 10 years with the City of Providence. Sal was an active member of 1033. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's, Star of the Sea Church, 864 Point Judith Rd., Narragansett, RI 02882. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Sunday 4-8 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston.
