84, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Good Friday, April 18, 2025 at the Cedar Crest Nursing Home, Cranston. He was the beloved husband of Carolyn (DeDonato) Gelsomino. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Antonio and Filomena (Montouri) Gelsomino.

Sal was a man of “few words” but his love of family and unselfishness spoke volumes. The last 10 years he struggled with many health issues.
Sal was employed for many years at Universal Optical, in later years he tended bar at Casa Rossi in Narragansett where diners enjoyed his quiet and listening personality.
He was an avid Yankee fan and faithfully read his Providence Journal every day.
