89, of Johnston, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016. He was the husband of the late Beatrice L. (Ricci) Guglielmo. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Andrea and Rose (Maggiacomo) Guglielmo. As a proud jewelry tool maker for the former Curtis Jewelry Mfg. Co. for 46 years, Sal enjoyed working with his hands and solving mechanical problems. He was also the proprietor of the former JayBe Mfg. Co., supplying local jewelry businesses for many years. As an avid fan of all the New England sports teams, Sal never missed a Patriots, Bruins, Celtics or Red Sox game. He also loved playing cards with family and friends.
Sal was the loving and caring father of Sally-Anne Cerra and her husband Nicholas, and Andrea Anzalone and her husband Michael, all of Cranston. He was the cherished grandfather of Scott, Lauren and Craig Cerra and his companion Lisa Akroyd. Sal was the brother of Filomena "Fannie" Lavoie of Cranston, and the late Michele, Antonio, John, and Costanzo Guglielmo. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and Godchildren, whom he loved dearly.
His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco's Church, Atwood Avenue, Johnston at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
