Salvatore Saccoccio

94, of Cranston, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2025. He was the husband of the late Dorothy (Marsden) Saccoccio. Born in Providence he was the son of the late Domenico and Lucia (Stamengio) Saccoccio.

Mr. Saccoccio was a Registered Architect and owner of Saccoccio and Associates in Cranston for many years until his retirement. Besides RI he was certified in Florida and Massachusetts, and the National Council of Architectural Registration Board (NCARB). He was the Chairman of the Cranston Board of Appeals, member and Chairman of the RI Board of Examination & Registration of Architects, Secretary/Treasurer of the New England Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NECARB), member and Past President of the Cranston Rotary, and the Cranston Hall of Fame. He served as a Command Master Chief in the US Navy.

He is the father of Michael Saccoccio of Cranston, Lisa Heintzelman (and her late husband M. Carl Heintzelman) of North Kingstown, Mark Saccocio (Michele) of Smithfield and Lara D’Antuono (Anthony) of North Kingstown; grandfather of Leah, Connor and Benjamin Saccoccio, Brooke Papineau (Philip), Maxmilian Heintzelman (Elizabeth), Bianca and Vanessa D’Antuono; Great grandfather of Hazel Heintzelman; Brother of Frank Saccoccio of Johnston and was predeceased by seven siblings.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church, Cranston at 10am.
