Samantha M. Richards, CCRN

of Steere Farm Rd., Harrisville, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at RI Hospital in Providence.  Born in North Providence, she was the beloved daughter of Patricia A. Richards of Harrisville and Gerald McGloin of Providence and step daughter of Timothy Mitsmenn.

Samantha graduated from N.E. Tech and was a Neuro ICU Nurse in South Carolina and later at RI Hospital for the past year.  She was Past President, Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors of the RI Organ Donor Awareness Coalition; and member and active volunteer of the RI Public Education Advisory Council for Organ and Tissue Donation.

Besides her parents and step father, she was the sister of Joshua Richards and Eric Richards; step sister of Christopher Milot; maternal granddaughter of Edward and Iris Richards of Johnston; and paternal granddaughter of Carol McGloin of Providence.  Samantha is also survived by her aunts, uncles, cousins and a very special group of friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, March 20th at 11 a.m. in St. Bartholomew Church, 305 Laurel Hill Ave., Providence, followed by burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.
