Sandra M. (Szwec) Dandeneau

75, of Scituate , passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Dandeneau. They were married for the past 42 years.

Sandra loved and enjoyed her family: her Sister Rosalie Harris and her children John, Kevin and Pam Turner; Scott and Becky Crespi, brothers Anthony Szwec and Jan, their children Stephanie Gordon her husband Tim and Melanie Reeves; Gene Szwec and Dot and their children, David his wife Barbara and Michael and his wife Jennifer. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews. She also thoroughly enjoyed her in-laws Carol and her son Ron Dandeneau, her niece Diane and her husband Len Upham and their son. She also leaves behind many dearly loved friends she remained in contact with throughout her life.

Sandra worked for Peterson Puritan Aerosol for over 30 years. She was a very well liked, reliable and dedicated employee. She enjoyed traveling especially her 1976-month long honeymoon trip throughout Europe along with the many other trips to Hawaii and occasional weekend ski venture up to the mountains in Vermont and New Hampshire. She was also a home body loving her TV game shows, situation comedies, movies and the like. Sandra was also an excellent cook to the delight of  family and friends.

Of all her attributes, she was a profile in courage, unfortunately spending a majority of her mid to adult life dealing with a whole range of debilitating life altering medical issues that were more than any one person should have to deal with in one lifetime. If there ever a “Medal Of Honor” for fortitude and handicap perseverance she would be at the top of the list of deserving recipients.

At her passing she would want to express her love, gratitude and affection to all of her family and dear friends that she had the pleasure of enjoying and sharing this life with.

Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston. Burial will take place in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Thursday 4-8 pm.
